If you are a regular to this blog you will know that I am a great admirer of Georg Jensen jewellery and homeware. These silver bracelets come from the Infinity range designed by Regitze Overgaard and the shape is based on the symbol for infinity or number 8.
These are my bracelets. I saw the bangle first on a girl in Selfridges, and I watched her from a distance looking around the perfume section, admiring the way the bangle moved and made a satisfying jingle every time she raised her wrist up to her face to smell the perfumes. At the time, I didn’t feel brave enough to approach her and ask her where she got it, but due to its simplicity and elegance in silver, my first stop was Georg Jensen and sure enough there it was.
With some birthday money I purchased the bangle, and it really is an object of beauty. It is so well designed, I love the way the three pieces link together and expand and contract on movement. A year or so later, I got the bracelet, which is equally special to me. The range has been expanded now to include earrings, necklaces, rings and cuff links but for me the star is the bangle.
The range is designed by Regitze Overgaard. According to the Georg Jensen website it represents the past and the future, as with all of their pieces the design is timeless and modern. Overgaard has worked with Georg Jensen since 1987 and has designed a number of ranges for the company.
